~Eternity~
by
Sarah Gallant
Merging with
the sky, I stand
Eclectic
in this lighted
space
where intuition
first gently
took my hand;
Unlocking
mysteries at long-kept
Secrets'
Gate . . . One by 1
2, 3.
I faced the
West, I faced the East,
twelve Sun's
emblazened in my heart;
The turn
of tides wash 'oer
these feet
and hands,
for ages
bloodied upon the rocky land.
That at all
four corners have clung,
then grasped
to understand
the need
to break free.
No longer
held by temporal dreams,
nor chained
to schemes of lunar lords.
Through tests
and trials
and Saturn's
rings,
opportunity
to pass me not by again
as doors
swing wide open,
I will be
free.
To look back
behind at what has been.
To look ahead
toward what will be;
And as barriers
dissolve through this round,
to know within,
that all
simultaneously exists upon
the Sacred
Ground,
Eternity.
