Day Into
Night
by
Sarah Gallant
The Moon's
pale, mysterious luminescence
appears quietly
in the shadowy sky
bathing all
in silvery light.
It's cryptic
cloak locking the door
upon the
day once more;
As the Sun
drips red, orange, yellow,
and in blinding
brilliance
melts desperately
into the horizon;
Indignant,
holding on
'til the last.
Screaming
in powerless rage
at it's rulerships'
end;
As if not
knowing
that it's
only a matter of time
until it
is paramount once again,
. . . Only
a matter of time . . .
